Traditional Japanese Boat, Tokyo
Traditional “wasen” boats that have been around since the Edo Period, and you can board and ride them up & down the Yokojikkengawa Canal that passes through Yokojikkengawa Shinsui Park in Tokyo. The operation is managed by the Wasen Tomo-no-kai. The ride is about 800 meters and lasts around 20 minutes, and you can even try rowing the wasen boat if you want.

Hakusan Shrine, Niigata
Hakusan Shrine is Niigata city’s most prominent Shinto shrine. Hakusan Shrine is worth seeing all season round. Hakusan’s beauty is transformed likewise in all of these different seasons being frozen over in winter to blooming with cherry blossoms and peach tree blossoms in spring to an enjoying a nice walk there in the summer to seeing the leaves fall in autumn. Yosakoi Soran Festival 2014
Yosakoi Soran Festival is a type of team dance competition held in June in Sapporo. Wearing colorful and unique costumes, people from all around Hokkaido dance lively with Naruko, wooden percussion instruments, to the music of “soran,” old herring fishermen’s work songs, in many places in Sapporo. Every summer, about 30,000 participants and 2,000,000 spectators flock to Sapporo to enjoy the festival. The Yosakoi Soran Festival 2014 will be held from June 4th – 8th in Sapporo.
