Kamakura Daibutsu

The Great Buddha of Kamakura – “Daibutsu” is an outdoor bronze statue of Amida Buddha in the city of Kamakura. At 13.35 meters high the Daibutsu is the second largest Buddha in Japan. For a small donation of 20 yen,  you can actually go inside the sacred monument and see from the inside how it was cast.

Hoshino Resort, Nikko

Hasedera, Kamakura

This is the famous Hasedera Temple located in Kamakura. The main entrance gate is called “Sammon” &  from here you will get to see the beautiful japanese zen garden & the temple house a big wooden statue of Kannon (“goddess” of mercy). The garden is complete with a pond, waterfalls and statues.

Yasaka Shrine, Kyoto

Situated at the eastern part of the Kyoto city, Yasaka Shrine is one of the shrine that worth visiting.  It’s the Shinto shrine and dedicated to the deity responsible for protection against disasters and people’s prosperity. For the whole month of July, Gion Festival which is one of the three greatest festivals in Japan, is held in honor of the deity here.

Zama Sunflower Festival

Good Morning from Zama’s city Sunflower Festival. From late July through August more than 550,000 sunflowers will bloom and the city celebrates with festival. During the festival, there will be music and entertainment, yummy food and farm-fresh produce. There are also some special products like Sunflower seeds to beer, cider and shochu.
