Summer Festival

It’s summer! The time for you to enjoy the summer festival in Japan which also widely called as natsumatsuri” in Japanese. So usually you can try to wear a “yukata” to join in the festival. There will be some “yatai” street food stalls along side, try out the local shaved ice to cool you down, play the festival games & watch the fireworks or stage performance if there is any.

Sanrio Puroland

Sanrio Puroland is the second theme park in Japan featuring characters that enjoy worldwide popularity such as Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars and My Melody. As it is an all-weather park, there is no need for an umbrella even if it rains. It keeps the temperature comfortable throughout the year so that even families with small children can spend time without any concern.

Yokohama Chinatown

One of the world’s largest, Chinatown Yokohama has more than 500 stores that you can enjoy various Chinese cuisines, mainly Cantonese but also Beijing, Shanghai, and Szechwan dishes, while you may also want to buy some ingredients or goods. One of the festival that held in the summer is “Kanteitan” to celebrate the birthday of Kan’u (a character from the old Chinese story, “Romance of the Three Kingdoms”)

Japan vending machine

It’s really hot out there so why not give yourself a try on one of this ice-cream vending machine located just outside the Golden Pavilion in Kyoto. Japan’s vending machines sell a wide variety of goods, from obvious items such as drinks including beer and other alcoholic beverages, fruits, foods, books & a lot more.

Tokyo Wan Fireworks Festival

If you visit  Japan during Japanese summer season July to August, you might get a chance to experience the Firework Festivals which is held during the weekends. One major fireworks display of Tokyo is “Tokyo Wan Hanabi Taikai” which is going to be held on the 8th August from 6:50pm to 8:10pm. Don’t miss it !
