Good Afternoon from Mt Fuji. To climb you will need to plan an overnight visit. Mt. Fuji is only open to hikers from 1 July to late August. The best time for climbing Mt. Fuji is from late July to late August when the weather conditions are stable.
Odori Park, Sapporo
Odori Park is the broad median of Odori (“large street”) in the center of Sapporo, separating the city into North and South. The park stretches over twelve blocks and offers pleasant green space during the warmer months. This picture taken few days ago showing childrens playing in the water fountain pool on a hot summer afternoon.
Three Major Tohoku Festivals in Tokyo Midtown
This Summer, the interior of Tokyo Midtown will be dynamically decorated with the ” Three Major Tohoku Festivals,” putting on a captivatingly visual “Japanese Summer.” The largest of the Akita Kanto lanterns, the “Owaka” (12m high) will also be on display. These decorations will allow you to feel the summer from the north-east of Japan.
Otaru Music Boxes
The music box befits this city of history and romance. Otaru Orgel Emporium is Japan’s largest shop specializing in music-boxes. Hundreds of models are on display, both large and small, including early 19th century antiques for sale.
Hakone Shrine
Hakone Shrine lies just a short stroll from Moto-Hakone on the southern shore of Lake Ashi. The water gate of this Shinto Shrine is one of the iconic emblems of Hakone and Lake Ashi. The shrine has a large festival each year in the peak of summer on August. Part of this shrine is located on the summit of Mt Komagatake.
