Otaru Music Box Museum, Otaru
Otaru Music Box Museum is one of the largest museum shops of music boxes in Japan. The beautiful century-old building, designated as one of historic landmarks of Otaru City and is full of music boxes in various sizes and types. In front of the museum is the Steam Clock made by a Canadian clock maker. The five steam chimes blow the melody every 15 minutes and the main steam whistles on the hour.
Japanese Dessert
After your main meal why not give yourself a try on a Japanese dessert. The above shown is Mitsumame with fruits and ice cream. Mitsumame usually comes with sweet black syrup that is called Kuromitsu. You can pour a small drop of the Kuromitsu onto the Mitsumame before eating. The Japanese traditional dessert is widely available in the downtown Tokyo as well.
Noboribetsu Hell Valley
Noboribetsu Hell Valley (Jigokudani) is the exploded crater of about 450m which is located in the northern-east of Noboribetsu in Hokkaido. It is also the origin of the Noboribetsu onsen. From the observation deck, you can see how the hot water and volcanic gas spout & smell of sulfur around the hell valley. Entrance fees to the valley is free.
Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park

Takino Suzuran Hillside Park is a large national government park located about 45 minute’s drive south of Sapporo city. This massive park is rich in nature, from waterfalls and rivers to forests. In the winter there are beginner hills for skiing, snowboarding and sleighing which make it a great place to learn. The picture shows a frozen waterfalls in a mid-winter taken at the park.
Nagoya City Science Museum
Nagoya City Science Museum has a landmark design featuring the spherical shape of the world’s biggest planetarium with a diameter of 35 meters. In the building you can see a highly realistic starry sky that shown on the planetarium’s screen, a -30 degree ºC room where you can see aurora images, and a large screen on which you can experience an artificial tornado 8 meters in height.
