Okonomiyaki, Hiroshima
Hiroshima Okonomiyaki is a crepe-like dish containing meat, seafood, cabbage, and so on. It’s so loved by Hiroshima people that there are more than 2000 Okonomiyaki restaurants in the prefecture. You can try the Okonomiyaki in “Okonomimura” a food theme park where a lot of Okonomiyaki restaurants are gathered.
Hiroshima Museum of Art
Hiroshima Museum of Art was formally opened in a specially designed building at one end of Central Park, located in the heart of Hiroshima City. You can enjoy about 90 works from the Japanese oil paintings from after the Meiji Period to the Recent. The Museum also offers special exhibitions from time to time.
Ashikaga Flower Park, Great Westeria Festival 2015
Good Evening from the Great Westeria Festival 2015 in Ashikaga Flower Park. The mystery of the Great Westeria at night, inviting you to another world. The large Westeria is also designated as the Natural Monument of Tochigi Prefecture. The Festival will ends on May 17th Sunday.
Shiba Zakura pink moss, Fuji
There are over 80,000 shiba-zakura blooms at a large pond near Motosuko. A rich array of pink, reddish, purple, and white blossoms are held against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji.
Koinobori 2015
Did you see a “Koinobori” or carp streamers? It decorate the landscape of Japan from April through early May, in honor of Children’s Day on May 5. In Japanese culture, the carp symbolizes courage and strength because of its ability to swim up a waterfall. During this festival, people will set up the Koinobori outside their house.
