H.C.Andersen park, Funabashi
Many are familiar with the Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen as his fairy tales have been translated into more than 125 languages. We all grew up reading at least one. Some of his famous stories include “The Little Mermaid”, “The Snow Queen”, “The Ugly Duckling” & such. Andersen’s tales have inspired plays, ballets and films all over the world and in Funabashi, Japan there is a children’s theme park named after him.
Kanazawa Higashi Chaya District
Good Afternoon from the largest one of the chaya districts in Kanazawa – the Higashi Chaya district. Chaya is a traditional place of feasts and entertainment, and when you enter back streets, you will soon find a maze of continuous alleys. The district includes facilities where you can see the interior of a chaya house that was built 180 years ago. Besides, quite a few old buildings have been renewed into restaurants, teahouses, and souvenir shops.
The A-bomb Dome, Hiroshima
The A-Bomb Dome has been well preserved since it was bombed, however to protect the building from the weather, regular reinforcement and repairs with steel beams are also necessary. The atomic bomb eliminated everything in the town. Visitors & even the locals can also enjoy river cruises on the Motoyasu River to see the park and the A-Bomb Dome from the river.
Amaharasi Coast Quasi
Good evening from the Amaharasi Coast Quasi-National Park. In Amaharasi, there is a big rock, called Yoshitsune Iwa. This rock is famous after the legend story about Minamoto Yoshitsune. On a clear skies day you can see Tateyama mountains range rising above Toyama Bay.
