Tokyo Tower light-up
At Tokyo Tower, there are 2 kinds of lights, the “Landmark Light” & the “Diamond Veil.” The lights are usually lit from dusk until midnight. “Landmark Light” shines towards the tower using standard lighting where 180 lights gently define the Tower against the night sky. “Diamond Veil” shines outwards from the Tower using a total of 276 lights & 17 layers of light may each change in to 7 different colors. Diamond Veil is lit only on Saturdays during the 2 hours between 8pm- 10pm.
Odaiba Gundam statue
It is a beautiful spring afternoon in Japan. At the main entrance of Diver City Tokyo stands the mobile suit of Gundam RG 1/1 RX-78-2 . You can plan a local trip to Odaiba to view the Gundam statue and walk through the Gundam Front Tokyo museum .The life sized Gundam statue is lit up every day from 5:00pm to 11:00pm with steam spewing from its chest.
Tottori Ekiben
Crab is a special product in Tottori prefecture, Japan. Bentos (Lunch boxes) such as “Kani Zushi (Crab Sushi)” and “Kani Meshi” (Crab Rice)” using a lot of crab meat, are sold at Tottori Station which we also call it as “Ekiben”. The rice is Takikomi-Gohan (Japanese style paella) with crab innards, and a lot of crab meat as the topping. Since these crab meat are removed from shells, you can enjoy to eat them without getting your hands dirty. The material of the container is eco-friendly and recycle after used.
Ryo san statue Kochikame, Kameari
The bronze statute of Ryo-san at the north entrance of Kameari station, Tokyo. Kochikame is a famous Japanese comedy manga series. It has a broad audience, ranging from adolescent boys to middle-aged salarymen. The manga is an ongoing homage to the working-class people and districts of old Tokyo, and most episodes open with an elaborate full-page illustration of a down-town street scene, typically with old wooden buildings.
Ebina SA
A melonpan also known as melon bun/melon bread is a type of sweet bun from Japan. They are made from an enriched dough covered in a thin layer of crisp cookie dough. Their appearance resembles a rock melon. It has become popular as some are “plain melon pan”, some has melon flavor & even some with a few chocolate chips on it. Ebina SA – it’s a highway stop is very popular for the “melon pan”. Sometime you see lines to get this bread especially when it is fresh out from the oven.
