Shirakami World Heritage sites
Wonderful colors of Autumn from Shirakami World Heritage sites, the vast primeval beech forest, which is home to a precious population of animals and plants, is just like a forest museum in Aomori prefecture / Akita prefecture.
Akita Station
Akita, situated in the north west of Japan is a mainly rural prefecture noted for its long, snowy winters, Akita breed of dogs, hot-spring, delicious local foods, and fine sake. Apple of Aomori
Aomori Apples anyone ? Aomori is one of the foremost agricultural prefectures nationwide. In particular, the prefecture boasts the highest production of apples. The popular Fuji apples especially is an apple hybrid developed by growers in Fujisaki, Aomori. This high quality apples have made it possible to produce super-delicious apples.
Soy-sauce ice-cream
This sound a little odd but why not give yourself a try of the limited flavor of soy-sauce ice-cream top with “iyori” sweet cracker balls when you visit Konpira san in Kagawa Prefecture. It is very famous among the locals & available at “Shikokunoshun” store.
Kotohira-gu shrine, Kagawa
According to legend, Kotohira-gu Shrine was founded in the 1st century. It’s stood on top of Mt. Zozu ever since, protecting sailors and seafarers. Visiting requires a bit of effort; you’ll have to climb 785 steps to the impressive main shrine and 583 more to the final lookout. Konpira-san plays host to a number of festivals including the colorful, night-time Otaisai in October.
