Kamo Nanban Soba
In early summer, most parts of Japan get visited by a rainy season, the so called “tsuyu.” During the rainy season now if you are in Kyoto perhaps you can try out the famous Kamo nanban soba – which is a warm noodles with duck and negi leek. Nanban is a name for dishes with leeks and hot chili pepper. The soba noodles are served in a warm dashi and soy broth with slivers of perfectly cooked duck breast and mellow grilled white leek.
