Smart Illumination Yokohama 2014
Smart Illumination, which takes place at the beginning of autumn every year, is a recently established art event that creates night scenery along Yokohama’s waterfront, known for years for its iconic cityscape. Artists from Japan and overseas participate in the festival, producing light displays that create their own kind of night scenery. In the wake of the great Tohoku earthquake of March, 2011, energy technology has been, and will continue to be, an important part of our lives—as such, it is one theme of the festival.
