Lake Kawaguchi
One of the Fuji Five Lakes is Lake Kawaguchiko. It is the easiest to get to from Tokyo and is the core of sightseeing in the Fuji-Goko area.There are many museums & amusement facilities near by. Lake Kawaguchi is also known as the starting point for climbing Mt. Fuji, as well as a mecca for fishing sports.
Kurobe Dam, Tateyama
492m wide and 186m high, Kurobe Dam is one of the biggest & highest dam in Japan. Kurobe Lake made by this dam is beautifully colored in emerald green. You can also look up Tateyama mountain range from the side. The panorama scenery will definitely amazed you.
JR Koumi Line
Ride in the JR Koumi Line through the countryside in the early afternoon a two-car train as it ambles along the tracks. This winding route of approximately 79 kilometers makes its way through the mountains from its origin in Komoro, Nagano to its last stop at Kobuchizawa Station in Hokuto, Yamanashi. You will be rewarded with some spectacular views.
Gokayama, Toyama
Gokayama is a place of precipitous mountains and deep valleys located in the southeastern part of Toyama. The houses in the area are built in the style called ‘gassho-zukuri’ and have three or four floors. The steep roofs are at 60 degrees to prevent snow building up on them, and no nails are used in the construction of these houses & the site were designated a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
Tokyo Tower
