Carp Streamers, Tokyo Tower
Colorful carp streamers flutter in the air at the bottom of Tokyo Tower, ahead of the Children’s Day national holiday on May 5.
Shibuya Crossing
Shibuya Crossing is a microcosm of the Japanese culture. Thousands of people, crammed together in a small space, perfectly following the rules and maintaining order despite the apparent chaos. This intersection is located in front of Shibuya Station, separating it from the main shopping areas of Shibuya. When the lights change from green to red, all of the traffic stops, and pedestrians fill the pedestrian walkways that cross the intersection at every angle.
Tokyo Dome Stadium
This is the famous domed stadium where the legendary baseball team Yomiuri Giants play ball. It has a gift shop on the ground floor selling all kinds of baseball merchandise and souvenirs from both the Japanese Pacific/Central Leagues and Major League Baseball. Tokyo Dome is Japan’s first domed stadium, opened on March 17,1988.
Tsunoshima Ohashi Bridge, Yamaguchi
Connecting the mainland with Tsunoshima Island, this 1780m bridge passes over shallow waters and white sand, offering travelers a spectacular view. Since its completion in 2000, it has become the number-one tourist attraction in the area. It’s also become a popular filming location for car commercials.
Ashikaga Flower Park, Tochigi
Spring season brings in alot of beautiful flowers around Japan. Besides the famous Cherry blossom you can also enjoy the beautiful “Giant Wisteria” planted in Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi Pref. This is said to be the most beautiful wisteria in the world. Blooming period from mid-April to mid-May.
