Meoto Stone, Mie Prefecture.
It is called Meoto-Iwa or the Wedded Rocks situated just off the coast of Futami-cho, Ise city in Mie Prefecture. The large rock is “husband” and the small rock is “wife”. And both rocks are connected with the thick ropes. The ropes are changed in May, September and December. It is one of the important festival of the shrine. The view of sunrise from here is also very famous.
