Shiretoko, Hokkaido
The only entry from Japan’s northernmost island of Hokkaido, Shiretoko, also designated as a national park, is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. The park is located on a peninsula jutting out from the eastern edge of the island, with its tip only accessible by boat or hiking trail.
