The must see sights of Hokkaido & Tohoku with spring cherry blossoms and baby blue eye flowers at Hitachi Seaside Park.

The cherry blossoms in Hokkaido reach their peak approximately one month later than the blossoms on the main island of Honshu in Japan, between the mid-April and early May. Around the same period, the beautiful baby blue eye flowers are also in bloom on the hills of Ibaraki. This tour is designed for people who wish to see the baby blue eye flowers and cherry blossoms in May, and for tourists who wish to discover parts of Japan that are rarely seen.

Northern Japan has longer winters compared to central and southern areas of Japan, so the cherry blossom season marks a new beginning and the arrival of spring. It is a symbol of special significance. This tour will focus on the best cherry blossom spots, world heritage sites, countryside, villages, and historic towns of Japan.

Beginning in Hokkaido, we will visit the must-see sites of Otaru, Sapporo, Shiraoi, Noboribetsu, Lake Toya, Onuma Park, and Hakodate. Then, our group will proceed to Morioka by crossing the Tsugaru Channel between the islands of Hokkaido and Honshu, via the undersea train tunnel.

Head to Hiraizumi, a city of precious cultural values and history, including the photogenic buildings of Chusonji Temple. Continue your journey to Matsushima, a picturesque bay dotted with small islands, where we will explore ancient caves once frequented by meditating monks.

On the last day of the tour, discover the wonderfully ornate shrines of Nikko, which are also designated World Heritage sites. Then, visit the nearly 100 meter (328ft) tall Kegon Waterfall situated in Lake Chuzenji, which is listed as one of Japan's three most beautiful waterfalls. The last stop of the of the tour will feature the breathtaking baby blue eye flowers in Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki. The hills are covered by the baby blue eye flowers, creating a beautiful spring scene. Finally, head to Narita for a night stay before your return flight on the following day.
