Ushiku Buddha, Ibaraki
The Ushiku Buddha statue is located in Ushiku, Ibaraki Prefecture. It is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest Buddhist bronze statue in the world at 120m or equivalent to a 38-story building. You can enter inside of the Greatest Buddha. An elevator will takes you up to 85m off the ground, where an observation floor is located.
Enoshima Shrine
Japanese New Year which is celebrated on the 1st Jan for few days which took most locals to the famous shrine for prayers. Shrine will be open for night prayer on New Year Eve & the following day. Enoshima used to be one of two famous praying spots during the Edo period. During the first three days of the year alone, about 100,000 people will be visiting Enoshima to pray for good luck for the year ahead.
Sazan Beach, Chigasaki
Sazan beach in Chigasaki is a prime location to view Enoshima to the east and Mt. Fuji to the west. This is a superb sunset view in a cold winter.
