Tokyo Metropolitan Office Observation Deck
See the Tokyo Metropolis stretch out before you while standing 202 meters above the ground of the Tokyo Metropolitan Office Observation Deck! On a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji in the distance. You can enjoy the view from both Building 1 and Building 2. The Metropolitan government holds a raffle to choose 600 people to enjoy the views on the sunrise on New Year’s Day. Onsen
Japan is practically overflowing with hot, bubbling water it seems and nearly every city and town has a local spring or public bath for people to get a nice soak. Called “onsen” in Japanese, hot spring spas or baths are one of the most enduring symbols of Japanese culture.
Tokyo Motor Show 2013
Tokyo Motor Show 2013, that is held from November 20 to December 1, featured the latest electronic technology made by the Japanese carmakers, as well as green cars aimed at the growing low-emissions sector. This 43rd car show edition includes 177 local carmakers of passenger cars, commercial vehicles and trucks together with European competitors. The organizer-themed project SMART MOBILITY CITY 2013 was offered under the theme of “KURUMA NETWORKING: Vehicles connecting with people’s lives and society” to give a comprehensive look at the mobility society of the near future. The project also offered test rides of personal mobility and micro mobility vehicles, as well as demonstrations of advanced driver assistance systems and other programs to give visitors a feel for what our mobility society would be like in the future that is soon to come.
Sojiji Temple
Once the head temple of the Soto Buddhist sect, the main temple building of Sojiji was almost entirely destroyed by fire and was later moved to Yokohama. However, the original temple grounds are still used today and visitors can view the remaining buildings and temple gardens.
