Izu Peninsula
The Izu Peninsula, jutting out into the Pacific Ocean, is famous for its beautiful beaches, many hot springs (onsen) and wonderful scenery. There are few highland resorts like Ito, Atami, Shimoda & other cities that offers stays & hot-spring. You will find white sandy beaches in Shimoda too. The local restaurants offer the freshest fish caught in the local coastal waters.
